A Message from Our Founder

At Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals, Inc. we believe that life is a gift. It must be treasured and protected in every way possible.

That is why we have dedicated our individual skills, knowledge—indeed our entire organization—to meeting the unmet needs of people with rare diseases. Everyone who works at our company appreciates the importance of bringing innovative, life-improving therapies to the patients who need them—regardless of how rare the condition. In fact, we currently have a therapy in development for the treatment of a disease that touches only 500 lives.

While others may ask, "How can we do that?"—at Sigma-Tau we ask, "How can we not?"

In short, we believe that people cannot be quantified. Perhaps not ironically, this credo of patients before profits has led to considerable corporate strength and growth over the past 50 years. It just summarizes what my father always told me, "Focus on your strengths, and the rest will take care of itself."
